Frequently Asked Questions
Q: If I am a size “C”
bra-cup and am happy with the size but dislike the “drooping” appearance of my breasts, how
can you fix that and will it change the size of my breasts?
A: “Drooping” is a result of the skin losing its
elasticity causing the breast to lose its firmness. To reduce the drooping, you
can under go a mastopexy. A mastopexy removes excess skin of the breast. The
nipple is repositioned higher on the breast decreasing the sagging but not
decreasing the size. By undergoing a mastopexy, you eliminate the sagging of the
breast and have a firmer breast.
Q: I have tried everything to get rid
of the “pooch” on my abdomen. Is there anyway to get rid of it and keep it
off?
A: To remove that
bothersome bulge or “pooch” on the abdomen, you can undergo an abdominoplasty
(tummy tuck). This procedure removes the excess skin and fat of the abdomen and
tightens the supporting layer of the abdominal wall. A material known as Marlex
can be sewn into the supporting layer of the abdomen to repair the weakened
abdominal wall.
Q: Does liposuction remove pounds or
inches and how can one maintain the effects of undergoing liposuction?
A:
Liposuction is not used to treat obesity or for weight reduction. Liposuction is
performed to flatten and contour certain areas of the body, such as the thighs,
stomach, or arms, by suctioning out excess fat. The procedure is performed by
inserting a small hollow tube into the area you want treated. Fluid is pushed in
to break up the fat and then suctioned out to remove the fat. To maintain the
results, a proper diet and exercise program will help ensure a longer lasting
result.
