There are many legitimate reasons to consider breast rejuvenation surgery, including back, neck, and shoulder pain from large breasts or adverse effects that pregnancy and aging can have on breasts. At Gary Horndeski MD, our friendly staff understands the difficulties that accompany breasts of undesirable size or shape. That is why we are committed to providing all of our patients with the utmost care when providing them with our cutting-edge services.
What kind of breast rejuvenation procedures do you offer at Gary Horndeski?
At Gary Horndeski MD, we offer breast reductions, breast explants, and breast lifts through the innovative Bellesoma™ method invented by our very own Dr. Horndeski, in addition to breast augmentation procedures! With the Bellesoma™ method, we are able to provide breast reductions, explants, and lifts without unflattering scars, oddly shaped results, or hampering your ability to breastfeed. Other benefits of the Bellesoma™ method include:
- An internal suspension technique for breast lifts and reductions that functions similarly to a push-up bra, transferring the weight of the breast to the chest muscle to provide relief of back, neck, and shoulder pain.
- The use of your own breast tissue instead of foreign tissue when restoring upper pole fulness.
- It allows for the use of fat transfers for additional volume.
Our breast augmentation procedure uses the Bellesoma™ method, which is better suited to lifts, reductions, and explants, but it has also received great reviews! Breast augmentation procedures are among the most popular cosmetic surgeries. However, they are frequent instances where patients choose to undergo breast augmentation when a breast lift is a more effective choice! When you meet with Dr. Horndeski for your initial consultation, he can help you decide which procedure is right for you.
What should I expect from breast augmentation surgery?
The first thing that will happen after you have arrived at Gary Horndeski MD and completed the check-in process with one of our friendly receptionists is a consultation with Dr. Horndeski in which he will discuss your medical history and your goals for the procedure with you. He will also provide you with advice and recommendations related to your specific procedure according to your body type and what you hope to achieve with your procedure.
Depending on Dr. Horndeski’s discretion and your consent, the procedure will be done with either a silicone or saline implant at our clinic. You will likely be given general anesthesia prior to the procedure, which will put you to sleep for the duration of the surgery. Your surgeon will place the implant by making an incision either on the underside of your breast, under your arm, or around the edge of the areola. Saline implants can also be placed through the belly button, in which the procedure would then be performed using an endoscope.
After the surgery is completed, you should be able to return home once the anesthesia wears off and you are able to safely walk, drink water, and use the bathroom on your own. It is highly recommended that you have someone with you who can drive you home after the surgery.
Initially, recovery from breast augmentation surgery will require at least two days of downtime, during which you need plenty of rest. Do not remove the surgical dressings until 24 hours have passed, after which you will need to continue to cover the incisions with gauze dressings for up to a week. You should expect to be able to return to work within a few days and to be fully recovered from any effects within a month.
How much does breast rejuvenation surgery cost?
The cost of breast rejuvenation surgery varies depending on the specific procedure you require. According to the American Society for Plastic Surgeons, the average cost of a breast lift is $4,816, while the average cost of breast reduction is $5,680. The cost of breast augmentation varies according to the location, doctor, and whether you use a silicone or saline implant. The price generally ranges from $5,000 to $10,000.
