How does breast lift surgery work at Gary Horndeski MD?
At Gary Horndeski MD, we use the Bellesoma breast lift method. In fact, we are proud to say that our very own Dr. Gary Horndeski pioneered this highly effective and innovative method for breast augmentation, reduction, and lifts! The Bellesoma method for breast lift surgery uses a patient’s own breast tissue to reshape and reposition their breasts higher up on their chest. Breast tissue is extracted from the patient’s breast while they are under anesthesia. This tissue is then used to create new breast mounds that are positioned higher up on the patient’s chest. Once the breast mounds are in position, they are secured to the chest muscle in a way that transfers the weight from the skin to the chest muscle. Finally, sutures are inserted around the areola and bottom part of the breast to complete the surgery.
What should I expect from breast lift surgery?
Before we can begin with surgery, an initial consultation between you and Dr. Horndeski will need to take place to ensure that you can safely receive breast lift surgery and give Dr. Horndeski an idea of how best to proceed with the procedure. This consultation will include a discussion of your medical history, any medications you are taking, what your goals are for treatment, and an analysis of your breast structure.
Once the consultation is completed, we will move forward with treatment. First off, you will likely be given general anesthesia, which will put you to sleep for the surgery duration. Then, Dr. Horndeski will make the necessary incisions to extract the breast tissue and reshape or reposition it and secure it to the chest muscle with the help of nurses and other medical professionals. Once all of the incisions and repositions are completed, Dr. Horndeski and his assistants will stitch the incisions back together to complete the surgery.
Once the anesthesia wears off, you can return home as long as you have someone to drive you and stay with you as you recover. You will need to get plenty of rest for at least two days before returning to work or engaging in any strenuous activity. Positive results from the Bellesoma breast lift should be seen immediately, and post-surgical swelling will fade as your breasts heal.
How does the Bellesoma method differ from other breast lift surgery methods?
There are many positive ways that the Bellesoma method differs from traditional breast lift surgeries that are sure to interest you! For example, while most traditional breast lift surgeries leave behind a glaring vertical scar that depreciates the surgery’s aesthetic improvements, the Bellesoma method makes incisions in strategic locations that result in a much more discreet or hidden scar. Furthermore, since the Bellesoma method uses a woman’s own breast tissue to perform the lift, there is no need for implants, which significantly reduces the risk of post-surgical infection or complications. Finally, the Bellesoma method uses an internal suspension method to lift the breasts by transferring the breast’s weight to the chest muscle, which prevents back, neck, and shoulder pain and provides more long-term stability for the breast lift.
